Hodges-Pabon selected as an YMCA Achiever for her dedication to providing educational enrichment opportunities to urban youths to prepare them for college and careers
In a letter to the MTL community dated May 14, MTL director Jesús del Alamo announced that Debroah Hodges-Pabon, MTL's human resources officer, was awarded the 2013-2014 YMCA Achievers Community Service Award by the YMCA of Greater Boston, the largest provider of social services in Massachusetts. The YMCA Achievers program brings together professionals from the Greater Boston community to serve as role models and mentors to urban youth. For the last 39 years, MIT has been a sponsor of the Achievers Program by supporting the community service work of the awardees.
"Debb has been selected as an YMCA Achiever for her dedication to providing educational enrichment opportunities to urban youths so as to prepare them for college and careers," stated del Alamo. "Please join me in thanking Debb for her generosity in and out of MTL and also in congratulating her for this well-deserved distinction."
