In an e-mail sent to the MTL community on April 15, MTL Director Jesús del Alamo announced that MTL staff members Paul McGrath and Vicky Diadiuk were recipients of 2014 MIT School of Engineering Infinite Mile Awards. These awards are given annually to individuals nominated by their departments for their outstanding work.
Paul McGrath is the MTL facilities specialist also serving as liaison with MIT Facilities. As such, Paul is in charge of the functionality and safety of Bldg. 39, one of MIT's most complex and heavily utilized buildings on campus. In addition, McGrath works with faculty, students and postdocs to facilitate the infrastructure and equipment of the private labs of MTL faculty. "Paul is a tremendous citizen of MTL, helping in many events in any capacity that might be required and always at the ready with his camera to document our varous activities," said del Alamo in the e-mail.
